Coming to retail this spring, 7 Moons Red Blend “celebrates the seven phases of the moon” by combining seven grape varietals sourced from vineyards along California’s Central Coast and Lodi regions, the company says.
The 2015 7 Moons Red Blend combines red varietals syrah, merlot, petite sirah, zinfandel, cabernet sauvignon, malbec and grenache. The wine has aromas of chocolate-covered cherries, baking spices and vanilla bean, the company says, while flavors include strawberry preserves, cherry cola and milk chocolate, before a fruit-forward finish.
7 Moons makes an ideal pairing for barbecued chicken and Caprese salad, or Chinese take-out.
The wine is 13.5% ABV and has a suggested retail price of $12.99 per 750-ml. bottle.
