Austin Eastciders has announced the release of their new Austin Eastciders Blood Orange Cider.
The product is available now in individual 6-packs and 12-packs, with 12-oz. cans, in bars, restaurants and other retailers, including Costco, HEB, and Whole Foods throughout Texas, New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Virginia.
Blood Orange is a zesty, dry cider made with red Sicilian blood oranges, heirloom bittersweet apples and American dessert apples, the company says. The Sicilian blood orange has a sweet, light flavors of raspberry and grapefruit, which results in the cider being medium bodied and crisp with a hint of tangy citrus.
The blood orange flavor is more pronounced than a standard orange, but not so intense as to overwhelm the apple-forward flavor profile, the company says. The tangy citrus adds complexity to the effervescent cider.
Austin Eastciders Blood Orange is 5% ABV and can serve as a cocktail base. The suggested retail price is $10.50 for a 6-pack and $16.50 for a 12-pack.
Blood Orange is the newest to join the Austin Eastciders family, which includes Austin Eastciders Original, Austin Eastciders Texas Honey, Austin Eastciders Hopped and Austin Eastciders Pineapple ciders. All Austin Eastciders products are gluten-free.
