Reserva de la Familia, the top end of the Jose Cuervo portfolio, has announced its entry into the fast-growing cristalino subcategory with the launch of Reserva de la Familia Añejo Cristalino Organico.
This tequila is made following the Cuervo family process that dates back to 1795. The spirit ages in new American oak barrels for more than a year, before finishing in Pedro Ximénez Sherry casks.
Resulting in a clear liquid, the cristalino process filters the aged tequila.
Aromas include cooked agave, honey and dried fruits with light notes of oak, according to distillery notes. On the palate is stone fruit and cooked agave before a bright finish.
This tequila is also certified organic, joining Reserva de la Familia Platino and Reposado variants as the brand’s latest organic offering.
Reserva de la Familia Añejo Cristalino Organico is 40% ABV.
Reserva de la Familia Añejo Cristalino Organico is now available nationwide at retail stores, restaurants and bars, and will soon be available for purchase online at ReserveBar, for a suggested retail price of $149.99 per 750-ml. bottle.
