Hendrick’s Gin has introduced Grand Cabaret, the brand’s newest limited release from master distiller Lesley Gracie’s Cabinet of Curiosities.
The fifth release from this gin line in the U.S., Grand Cabaret marks the first time Gracie has wandered into the world of stone fruits.
“There’s something to be enthralled by everywhere we look, and this time I was captivated by historical recipes for indulgent stone fruit spirits, eau de vies, peach schnapps and cherry liqueurs that were in vogue in the 1900s,” she explains. “I experimented with these flavors a bit and found that when you put them together, they produce a rich cabaret of notes that are both bright and light, ultimately serving as the inspiration behind this latest release.”
The results are stone fruit flavors with light and fruity freshness, the distillery reports. The classic juniper character of Hendrick’s Gin is paired with the soft stone fruit, rounded out by aromatic herbs meant to accentuate the freshness of Hendrick’s traditional cucumber notes.
The Hendrick’s Grand Cabaret bottle is a purple color, adorned with a mix of images, including a chandelier, a nod to the Parisian gatherings that inspired the liquid’s creation.
Hendrick’s Grand Cabaret comes bottled at 43.4% ABV. The suggested retail price is $39.99 per 750-ml. bottle.
