This Cognac-based cocktail gets a kick from a pinch of Chinese five-spice powder.
- 2 parts D’Ussé XO Cognac
- ¾ parts Fresh lemon juice
- ¾ parts Simple syrup
- ¼ Chinese five-spice powder
- 4 dashes Peychaud’s bitters
- Add all ingredients into a shaker with ice.
- Shake vigorously and strain into an ice-filled rocks glass.
- Garnish with star anise .
