Steakhouse chain Del Frisco’s has been sold again. Private-equity firm L Catterton, which just completed its $650 million acquisition of Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group, is selling the Del Frisco’s Double Eagle and Del Frisco’s Grille restaurants to Landry’s for an undisclosed price.
Houston, TX-based Landry’s, owned by billionaire Tilman Fertitta, also includes McCormick & Schmick’s, Mastro’s, Morton’s and Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.
The deal, which is expected to close in late October, does not include Bartaco and Barcelona Wine Bar, which Del Frisco’s had acquired in May 2018. L Catterton will keep those brands and operate them as two separate businesses with distinct strategies and leadership teams.
