3 Badge Beverage Corporation has introduced a petite sirah to its Plungerhead line of wines this summer, and has unveiled a significant packaging redesign for the brand.
In addition to this new wine, Plungerhead’s new-vintage Zinfandels and Cabernet Sauvignons will also sport the redesigned package, which features a bright red label that focuses attention on the varietal name. Plungerhead’s signature character, Edgar B. Plongerheid, retains a prominent place on the label but is “further brought to life by the striking red background and other design enhancements,” the company says.
The Plungerhead 2015 Petite Sirah was made from several lots from Lodi, California vineyards and then blended with tempranillo (5%), merlot (4%) and cabernet sauvignon (1%) before aging in a combination of French, American and Hungarian oak.
The suggested retail price is $14 per 750-ml. bottle.
3 Badge Beverage Corporation is based in Sonoma, California, and was founded in 2009 by August Sebastiani. In addition to Plungerhead, the company also makes the brands Leese-Fitch, Gehricke, Moobuzz, Hey Mambo and The White Knight.
