Don Miguel Gascón has announced two new Malbecs to their line: their 2012 Reserva Malbec, and 2014 Malbec.
The Don Miguel Gascón 2012 Reserva Malbec opens with ripe aromas of blackberry, the company says, before notes of chocolate and mint. On the palate are dar fruits, hints of plum, black currant and brown spice. The finish features mouth-filling tannins. The wine is 94% Malbec, 6% Petit Verdot. The varietal origin is Mendoza, Argetine. The ABV is 14.8%. It has a suggested retail price of $25.
The Don Miguel Gascón 2014 Malbec opens with aromas of blackberry, plum and a hint of maple, the company says. Fresh fruits are on the palate, with notes of black spice, licorice and chocolate. This is a medium-bodied Malbec, also from Mendoze. It’s 100% Malbec, with an ABV of 14% and SRP of $15.
