Excelsior Wines has introduced Amado Sur chardonnay from the Trivento estate in Argentina’s Mendoza region. The wine, which makes its U.S. debut with release of the 2013 vintage, combines 78% chardonnay with 12% pinot grigio and 10% viognier. Amado Sur, which loosely translates to “Southern Love”–an allusion to the affinity between the featured grape varieties and the climate and growing conditions found in the foothills of the Andes Mountains–retails for a suggested price of $15 per 750-ml. bottle.
