It’s been quite the year for craft beer in Texas—especially in Dallas. The city is currently experiencing a boom in breweries, as have Houston and Austin in recent years. Pond says that, in addition to The Common Table, Dallas has had several high-quality, beer-focused places open in a fairly short time, including The Meddlesome Moth and Goodfriend’s, Shortly after that, Dallas had three quality breweries open: Deep Ellum, Peticolas and Lakewood. Dallas was late to the brewery scene so there was some pent-up demand, according to Pond
