To me, the Fitty-Fitty is a perfect and pristine drink. It is seemingly so simple with equal parts good vermouth and good vodka (or gin).
The idea of the drink is simple, but there are so many variations you can play around with: Different kinds of vermouth, additions of bitters, different combinations within the specs make the possibilities for this simple recipe endless!
Sometimes if I have good cocktail olives (Dirty Sue makes amazing olives for drinks), I will spear one and drop it into my drink. It’s clean, fresh, crisp, aromatic, light but not too light, sexy and always delicious anytime of the day.
Vodka FittyFitty
1½ oz. Snow Leopard vodka
1½ oz. Dolin Dry vermouth (Noilly Prat Original Dry is also very good for a slightly sweeter drink)
2 drops Miracle Mile Yuzu bitters
Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass. Stir with ice until chilled and diluted. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Express lemon peel over the top and rub the lemon peel on the stem of the glass only. One olive as garnish.
