Château Miraval has signed an exclusive contract with Campari Group in which the Italian drinks company will distribute Miraval wines in the U.S. and France. The French rosé brand had been owned by the actors Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
The former couple bought the estate in Provence in 2008 and released the first wines in 2013. Miraval has been a bone of contention since the pair split up in 2016. Jolie sold her shares in the Château to Tenute del Mondo, owned by Stoli, in 2021 without Pitt’s consent. The legal battle for Château Miraval is currently in mediation.
Campari Group executives celebrated the deal during a Residence of Rare event at its New York headquarters on Sept. 18. The evening showcased the company’s luxury portfolio offerings, including Bisquit & Dubouché X.O. Cognac, Mayenda Tequila Blanco, Russell’s Reserve13-Year-Old and Champagne Lallier, among others.
