Freeland Spirits, a Portland-based, women-owned, -operated and -distilled brand that makes spirits from locally harvested botanicals, has launched Forest Gin.

Forest Gin gets its name and inspiration from Forest Park, one of the country’s largest urban forest reserves, just five blocks from Freeland’s distillery.

All ingredients (e.g. chanterelle mushrooms, douglas fir tips, salal berries and nettle) are distilled via rotovap.

Forest Gin has hints of florality and fresh greenery, complemented by notes of earth, berry and fresh rain, the company reports. It’s 45% ABV.

The suggested retail price is $39.99 per 750-ml. bottle.
