Mister Paradise, a casual cocktail bar in New York’s East Village, has rolled out a new menu featuring classic, signature and low/no-ABV drink options. The bar team adopts culinary practices, such as clarifying cocktails, diluting with teas, and cooking drinks sous vide, to prepare and balance the drinks behind the scenes, which allows for seamless and entertaining service.
Highlights from the new menu include the Prime Martini ($19) with Boatyard gin, Grey Goose vodka, Martini Ambrato vermouth, Szechuan peppercorn brine and lemon, and two milk punches: the Travolta ($18) with Bacardí Superior rum, Rhum JM Blanc, fino sherry, pineapple, coconut dulce de leche, lime and milk; and the Cage ($18) with El Gobernador pisco, Community vodka, Empirical Soka, Batavia Arrack, strawberry, chicha morada, lime, lemon and milk. For a clarified take on a Miami Vice, guests can combine the two punches with the Face/Off cocktail ($21), a layered serve of Travolta and Cage.

Mister Paradise’s no- and low-alcohol sections include original creations and riffs on beloved cocktails. The Rural Juror ($12), also referred to as a Ramos No-Gin Fizz, is a carrot, cinnamon, orange blossom and charged mineral water combination that’s made into a cordial and whipped with heavy cream for a creamsicle-inspired result. A low-ABV option is the Soft Arms ($16) with riesling, Svöl Swedish Dill aquavit, blanc vermouth, fino sherry, yuzu vinegar and cucumber.
The bar, which opened in 2019, returns several popular signature cocktails to the menu such as The Party Lobster (shown atop), a riff on the spicy Margarita with habanero, salted watermelon, lime and a blend of agave spirits. The Cougar Magnum, a balanced concoction of gin, Scotch, elderflower, smoked grapefruit, lemon and buttered popcorn, is another guest favorite; both cocktails are priced at $17.
The management at Mister Paradise, which includes owner Will Wyatt, fellow alumni from The NoMad along with chef/partner Jeremy Spector and the team behind the East Village’s Wiggle Room, Pretty Ricky’s and Boulton & Watt, emphasizes team education and development. For instance, the bar offers initiatives such as biweekly R&D sessions and Bartending 101 classes, programs that highlight Mister Paradise’s mission to invoke an open and playful space that encourages creativity, community and growth.
