Hella Good Halloween Drinks

The Sandman’s Serenade

Halloween seemed to start earlier this year, perhaps everyone is looking for something to celebrate—or maybe something to be scared of other than current events. A specialty cocktail may make things less frightening; here are eight Halloween recipes that we like.

The Sandman’s Serenade 
(Shown atop)
1 ½ parts Hendrick’s Orbium gin
¼ part Maraschino liqueur
½ part Yellow Chartreuse
½ part Honey syrup
¾ part Lime juice
1 bar spoon White balsamic vinegar
1 dash Rose water

Combine ingredients and shake. Fine strain into cocktail glass and garnish with dried rose petals

The Goblin
The Goblin

The Goblin
1 ½ parts Bacardí Superior rum
½ part Midori liqueur
½ part Reàl Coco
½ part Fresh lime juice
2 parts Dole [ineapple juice

Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a coupe or Martini glass. Garnish with bat or ghost gummies.

The Jack O Lantern cocktail

The Jack-O-Lantern
2 oz. D’Ussé VSOP Cognac
1 ½ oz. Orange juice
½ oz. Ginger ale
½ oz. Grand Marnier
Orange and green sprinkles and cinnamon for garnish

Place all the ingredients (except the garnish) into a cocktail shaker and shake. Rim the tumbler or rocks glass with festive sprinkles. Pour over ice and sprinkle a dash of cinnamon.

Ghoul Bowlcocktail

Ghoul Bowl
2 oz. Aberfeldy 12 Single Malt Scotch Whisky
1 oz. Islay Scotch
1 oz. Ancho Reyes liqueur
4 oz. Spiced apple cider
2 oz. Lemon juice 
1 oz. Grenadine
3 cups crushed ice 
Ginger Beer (to fill)

Add all ingredients to a small punch bowl or scorpion bowl with crushed ice and lightly stir. Garnish with cinnamon sticks, star of anise and an orange wheel.

Higher Spirit
1 oz. Santo Mezquila
¾ oz. Aperol
½ oz. Yellow Chartreuse
¾ oz. Fresh lime juice
¼ oz. Agave mectar

Add ingredients to shaker with ice. Shake and double strain into chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a long thin grapefruit peel.

Smoky Halloween Colada
2 oz. Casamigos Mezcal 
¾ oz. Fresh lime juice
¾ oz. Fresh pineapple juice
¾ oz. Coconut puree by Real 
¼ oz. Ginger syrup by Liber & Co.
½ oz. Grenadine 
½ Thick rim equal parts sugar/black lava salt

Wet ½ rim of glass with lime wedge or wheel and dip into sugar/black lava salt mixture. Pour ½ oz. grenadine directly into clear Tiki or Hurricane glass. Combine the rest of the ingredients into tin shaker. Add ice, shake vigorously and strain into clear Tiki glass or hurricane glass. Add pebble ice, and fill to top creating a dome like top, then garnish.

Monster Margarita
Monster Margarita

Margarita Monster 
1 ½ parts of Patron Silver tequila
1 part Melon liqueur
¾ parts Fresh-squeezed lime
Simple syrup (to taste)
Watermelon balls for garnish

Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake with ice to chill. Strain onto fresh ice in a rocks glass. Garnish with watermelon balls.

Spooky Pumpkin cocktail

Spooky Pumpkin 
1 ½ oz. Tito’s vodka
1 oz. Pumpkin spice Baileys liqueur
½ oz. Kahlua

Pour contents into a shaker, Shake well pour over fresh ice. In a glass rimmed with crushed graham crackers and cinnamon.
