New on shelves and back bars: Old Overholt Bonded Straight Rye Whiskey.

In honor of the brand’s 100-year-plus history, they’ve tapped into an American distilling tradition: the “Bottled-In-Bonded” Act of 1897. Old Overholt Bonded Straight Rye is the brand’s first bonded release in over 50 years, which means it’s aged for four years, bottled at 100 proof, and comes from a single distiller and distillation season.

Old Overholt Bonded Straight Rye has a a robust, oaky flavor, the company says, with notes of spice and char, and vanilla and caramel on the nose.

The whiskey has a suggested retail price of $24.99 per 750-ml. bottle.
