SweetWater Brewing Goin’ Coastal IPA with Pineapple

04/26/2016

by: Kyle Swartz

The Atlanta-based brewery SweetWater Brewing Co. has announced their latest “Catch & Release” Summer seasonal: Goin’ Coastal IPA with Pineapple.

This is an IPA “laced with pineapple,” the company says. The bright aromas of the five citrus hops are accentuated by the tropical fruit of the pineapple, the company says.

Malts used were 2 Row, Munich, Wheat, Premium English, Crystal Malts. Hops were Columbus, Cascade, Simcoe, Goldings, Centennial, Chinook. Goin’ Coastal was dry-hopped with Cascade, Simcoe, Golding and Centennial hops.

The new beer will launch Monday, May 2. It is available in 16-oz. cans, 12-oz. bottles and cans and on draft.

The suggested retail price is $9 per six-pack of 12-oz bottles.

Goin’ Coastal has a 6.1% ABV and 50 IBU’s.

Hi Judy, thanks for your question. According to this webiste, your best bet at tracking down this IPA is along the east coast at those locations. We drank our sample of the IPA with Pineapple the other day and it was quite good. Hopefully you can get your hands on some yourself!
