CALORIE CONSCIOUS COCKTAILS TAKE ON A CRAFT TWIST
Simply Simple Syrups bring flavor to customers without stirring up guilt.
We’ve all seen the news of that particular “skinny brand” that sold big. Now big liquor companies and marketers alike are scrambling to get a similar product on the market. What’s missing is an appreciation for the craft and, more importantly, they’re skinny on taste.
Simply Simple Syrups are naturally infused, stevia based sugar free simple syrups created from a craft cocktail enthusiast’s perspective. Even the label is reminiscent of a classic cocktail era and designed for curb appeal. Throughout the development process, there was no grander objective than to create simply syrups that elevated cocktails and just happened to be calorie and sugar free. The 2011 Fall portfolio of flavors (Classic, Ginger & Vanilla Bean and Blueberry & Cinnamon) were all crafted to highlight superior spirits and traditional recipes, plus offer creative freedom to expert and amateur bartenders alike with ready-to-serve complex flavors. Signature recipes include a Reimagined Old Fashioned (feat. Blueberry & Cinnamon) and a Spicy Ginger Vanilla Margarita (feat. Ginger & Vanilla Bean). There are plans to expand the portfolio based on seasonal tastes and consumer demand.
Simply Simple’s founder, New York resident and ICE Culinary Management trained, Melissa Maher, is heavily entrenched in the New York cocktail community with her contributions to The Village Voice and Twitter blog @drinksocially. She was inspired to create these syrups during a recent diet that only allowed her to use stevia as a sweetener. She found that the taste of stevia was closer to sugar than most sugar alternatives, so Simply Simple Syrups were born. She is an avid cocktail drinker and is excited to introduce Simply Simple to the bar trade, so she can order .
