Rock & Brews, the national restaurant and entertainment concept founded by KISS frontmen Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons, has teamed up with Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg to create a limited-edition cocktail using Still G.I.N. from their Gin & Juice spirits brand.
Named after Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg’s headlining West Coast tour in 2000, the Up in Smoke is a sweet and smoky cocktail made with Still G.I.N., St. Germain, lemon juice, pink grapefruit juice and house-made raspberry honey syrup. The cocktail (full recipe below) is shaken and garnished with a grapefruit peel before it’s put under a cloche with wild berry smoke, which is then removed tableside.
Up in Smoke, priced at about $14.99 depending on the location, made its debut on Feb. 3. The limited-time offer will be available through the spring at participating Rock & Brews restaurants nationwide, including those in California, Texas, Florida, Missouri and Kansas.
Rock & Brews this past fall worked with Bob Dylan on the Bob’s Manhattan, made with Dylan’s own whiskey brand, Heaven’s Door, Dekuyper Sour Apple, sweet vermouth and cinnamon simple syrup. The chain’s other recent rock star LTO cocktail collaborations include the Rock Candy with Sammy Hagar’s Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum; Whiskey in the Jar with Metallica’s Blackened Whiskey, and Hampton Water Frosé, with Jon Bon Jovi’s Hampton Water wine.
