León Y Sol debuted in the U.S. in California this summer with the launch of its Tequila Blanco and Tequila Reposado.
The brand rolled out to bars and restaurants across the state of California as well as 3,500 outlets around the world online, and will launch in other major markets across the U.S. in the coming months.
León Y Sol last month entered into a multi-year strategic partnership with Empire, the largest privately held vertically integrated independent record label, publisher and distributor in the U.S. Empire has also taken an equity stake in León Y Sol Tequila to bring music and the spirit of innovation together, the company says.
These tequilas were created by third-generation Maestro Tequilero Jose Aceves. León Y Sol takes inspiration from its Founders’ Persian heritage. The name León Y Sol means “lion and the sun.”
“The packaging is sexy and bold – the designer label is striking, featuring the lion and the sun,” says León Y Sol CEO B. Marhamat. This is a bold premium luxury tequila at an approachable price.”
The suggested retail price is $69 for the Tequila Blanco and $89 for the Tequila Reposado, both per 750-ml. bottle.
