Italian bitter liqueur Aperol has launched #TogetherWeToast, a new social campaign focused on sharing good news about those who are lifting each other up and spreading positivity to others. The initiative invites Aperol fans to share a “Virtual Toast” celebrating a family member, friend, or even a stranger who is helping bring joy to others during the uneasy days of coronavirus pandemic.
The campaign kicks off on May 21—National Apéritif Day—through June 4: Participants should post their toasts—presumably with the signature Aperol Spritz (Aperol, prosecco, splash of club soda and orange slice garnish) to their Instagram story or feed and tag @aperolusa and #togetherwetoast. For every tagged Instagram post, Aperol will be donating $5 towards Another Round, Another Rally—a nonprofit financial resource for hospitality industry—with a goal of gifting up to $50,000 worth of Toasts.
In addition to parent company’s Campari America’s $1 million contribution to support bartenders facing economic hardship, #TogetherWeToast encourages the Aperol community to help pay it forward by giving back to the hospitality industry—and raise a glass to those who are spreading joy and positivity.
