High-end Aspen hotel The Little Nell in November celebrates its 30th anniversary. Since opened its doors on Thanksgiving Day 1989, the 92-room luxury lodge has introduced new restaurants both at the hotel and at the top of Aspen Mountain, renovated multiple times, hosted extragavant dinners and events, and celebrated with thousands of couples for their weddings and receptions.
As pearl is the traditional gift given for a 30th anniversary and a versatile symbol of both accessibility and exclusivity, The Little Nell will be holding a ski season-long Pearl Anniversary celebration. Festivities begin this Thanksgiving, on Nov. 28, 2019 and continue through April 2020 with partnerships, promotions and parties.
Foe example, at a Dinner Through The Decades on Friday, Nov. 29, at the hotel’s Element 47, executive chef Matt Zubrod will be joined by George Mahaffey, who served as executive chef when the restaurant was named Montagna. Wines will be paired by Little Nell wine director Chris Dunaway and a guest sommelier to be announced.
Specialty drinks from the Element 47 bar include the return of the Montagna Martini, as well as its signature White Cosmo, rebranded as the Pearl Cosmopolitan this season, featuring an ice sphere with pressed flower petals from The Little Nell’s summer gardens. Each cocktail is priced at $16.
The hotel also invites guests to share their favorite Little Nell memories and experiences in the form of a written story, photos and/or videos; participants have a chance to win a grand prize of a deluxe, two-night stay, among other prizes. Little Nell is accepting submissions through March 1, 2020.
