Torabhaig Distillery, located on the Isle of Skye, has announced the second expression in its Legacy Series of Single Malt Scotch Whiskies.
Following Legacy Series 2017 in February this year, the new expression is Allt Gleann – The Legacy Series. It hits shelves in December 2021.
Named after the burn (stream) that flows down the side of the distillery in Teangue on the Isle of Skye, this comes bottled at 46%, drawn from no more than 30 casks.
Allt Gleann is the second of four expressions in the Torabhaig Legacy Series. These arrive ahead of Torabhaig Single Malt Whisky 10 year old, due for release in 2028.
For anyone who missed out on the first expression, The Legacy Series – Allt Gleann is available in larger quantities, in four separate batches throughout 2021 and 2022.
Using wooden washbacks for fermentation and twin copper stills, Torabhaig Distillery has developed a signature style described as “well-tempered peat,” the company says.
The suggested retail price for Torabhaig Alt Gleann is $62 per 750-ml. bottle.
