This spooky tequila-based cocktail comes from The Vault at the Kimpton Monaco Salt Lake City hotel.
The Dark Crystal
Ingredients
- 1 ½ oz. Tequila Reposado
- ½ oz. PB&J syrup*
- ½ oz. Black charcoal-infused simple syrup simple syrup with dash of charcoal powder
- 1 oz. Lime juice
- Black sug
Instructions
- Use a lemon to dampen half of the rim of a rocks glass and a little of the outside of the glass.
- Roll that side of the glass rim in black sugar.
- Combine all ingredients into a shaker and shake with ice.
- Strain into rimmed rocks glass over ice.
Notes
*For PB&J syrup: Combine 1 cup white sugar, 1 cup blueberries, 1 cup water and ¾ oz. lemon juice in a pot. Cook it down then add ⅓ cup of peanuts and let simmer for 5 minutes. Strain and let cool.
