New York’s storied Dante, voted #1 Best Bar in North America in 2019 and 2020, opened Dante Beverly Hills on July 4 at The Maybourne Beverly Hills hotel. The California outpost is its third location, and Dante’s first outside of New York City.
Set on the hotel’s recently renovated rooftop, the new location offers Dante’s signature, aperitivo-style cocktails to pair with an Italian and Mediterranean-inspired food menu built around a wood-fired oven. Dante focuses on drinks such as the Negroni, Spritz and Martini and their many variations, highlighting ingredients from small, local brands, producers and using the freshest ingredients. A menu exclusive to Beverly Hills celebrates California cocktail culture with an emphasis on agave-forward drinks, alongside new signature creations.
Established in 1915, Caffe Dante celebrates the traditional way of community in New York City. With the reopening of the restaurant in 2015, Australians Linden Pride and Nathalie Hudson aim to preserve Dante’s original heritage while always innovating. The cocktail program honors the tradition of aperitivo, centered around the Negroni; Dante’s Negroni Sessions menu offers more than a dozen variations.
