Place diced fig diced, cardamom and sugar in mixing glass and crush with the mortar.
Add the other ingredients and pour into the Boston shaker.
Shake well and strain over ice into an Old Fashioned glass.
Garnish with marigold flowers.
Notes
If tamarind concentrate or paste is not available, use equal parts lime juice and dark brown sugar. The mixologists at Mezcal Campante created this recipe.
