With the tequila category remaining red hot, Milagro Tequila has announced the brand’s first core range addition in 10 years, Milagro Cristalino Añejo.
Milagro’s Cristalino Añejo is made with 100% blue agave from the Highlands of Jalisco. It aged for 18-24 months in American ex-bourbon and French oak casks before filtering through charcoal to obtain a crystal-clear liquid.
The result is a tequila that has a blend of caramel and vanilla sweetness while retaining an agave taste, the company reports.
“Like all Milagro Tequila offerings, Cristalino Añejo draws inspiration from Milagro’s roots — the vibrant, artistic world of Mexico City, where respect for tradition fuels innovation,” says Michael Giardina, VP of marketing for Milagro. “Throughout the entire distilling process, we’ve honored age-old tequila-making practices while embracing innovative techniques unique to the Cristalino sub-category to create a one-of-a-kind liquid profile.”
Fruit flavors imparted by the French Oak help add richness and depth, the company says, rounding out the fresh agave flavors.
“One of my favorite things about the new Cristalino Añejo is it tastes as delicious alone as it does in a high-quality cocktail,” says Luis Lopez, Milagro’s west coast ambassador. “This liquid has notes of citrus, stone fruit and burnt sugar, making it a mixologist’s dream when creating classic recipes like an Old Fashioned or modern twist like Milagro’s Crystal Clear Espresso Martini.”
Milagro Cristalino Añejo comes packaged in a crystalline bottle with a black ombre design that echoes Milagro’s Core Range.
This new release is 40% ABV. It is now available for purchase nationwide for the suggested retail price of $59.99 per 750-ml. bottle.
