With the movie Beetlejuice Beetlejuice soon to hit theaters, The Table in Jersey City has unveiled its latest cocktail creation: Otho’s Resurrection. Bar manager Juan Arboleda used his love for the movie to celebrate the mischief and chaos of Beetlejuice with a unique experience for The Table’s guests.
Arboleda created Otho’s Resurrection using beets-infused gin, lemon juice, a sweetener and Chef Dan Latham’s purple carrots from the restaurant’s rooftop garden. The purple carrots and beets are roasted in a pizza oven to extract their sweetness and deep dark flavors. The cocktail is topped with a candied purple carrot for garnish and a foam infused with egg white, ginger, apples and peach bitters.
To order the cocktail, guests will first have to summon Beetlejuice by saying his name three times to the server. The drink is then poured from a decanter inspired by the movie’s Sandworm creature. Priced at $16, Otho’s Resurrection will be available at The Table from Aug. 1 until Halloween.
