It’s the mother of all family holidays on May 14 and time for everyone to celebrate Mom. Since many people opt to take their mothers out for a Mother’s Day meal, be sure to have a selection of festive specialty cocktails ready. Here are six that we like for Mom, or any summery brunch. Palm Spritz
Ingredients
- 1 ½ oz. Ketel One Botanical Peach Orange Blossom vodka
- ¾ oz. Lemon
- ¾ oz. Creme de peche liqueur
- Sparkling wine
Instructions
- Combine ingredients, except sparkling wine, in a mixing tin and shake.
- Strain into a coupe glass.
- Top with sparkling wine.
- Garnish with marigold flower.

Mother Dearest
Ingredients
- 1 ½ oz. Bacardi Superior rum
- ¾ oz. Watermelon juice
- 2 oz. Grapefruit soda
Instructions
- Fill a tall glass with lots of ice.
- Measure and pour all ingredients into an iced glass.
- Stir to combine everything together.
- Garnish with a lime wedge and blueberries for a pinkish color palette.

Garden Party
Ingredients
- 1 oz. Vodka
- ¾ oz. Aquavit
- ¾ oz. Lemon juice
- ¾ oz. Sage-infused simple syrup
- 3 dashes Bittermens celery shrub
Instructions
- In a cocktail shaker, combine all ingredients with ice.
- Shake well and strain into a rocks glass filled with ice.
- Garnish with a slice of lemon and a sprig of dill.

Orchid Blanca
Ingredients
- 2 oz. Zacapa No. 23 rum
- 3 oz. Earl Gray tea
- ¾ oz. Lemon juice
- ¾ oz. Simple syrup
- 1 Drop Orange blossom water
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a shaker tin with ice.
- Shake and strain into a double wall infuser bottle with orchid.
- Serve with coupe glass garnished with orchid, lemon wheels and baby’s breath.

Whisky Wine Sour
Ingredients
- 1 ½ parts The Glenlivet 14 Year Old Scotch
- ¾ parts Lemon juice
- ½ parts Sugar
- 8 parts Ice
- 3 parts Red wine
Instructions
- Combine ingredients (except wine) in a mixing tin and shake.
- Strain into a coupe glass.
- Pour wine over.
- Garnish with three cherries on a pick.

Spring Thyme Spritz
Ingredients
- 1 ½ oz. El Bandido Yankee Blanco tequila
- ½ oz. Campari
- ½ oz. Passion fruit liqueur
- ¾ oz. Strawberry syrup
- 1 oz. Tangerine juice
- Squeeze of Lemon
- Squeeze of Lime
- 2 oz. Prosecco
- 2 oz. Sparkling water
Instructions
- In a cocktail shaker combine all ingredients except prosecco and sparkling water.
- Crush a sprig of thyme and add it to shaker.
- Shake with ice.
- Fill a tall glass with cracked clear ice. Strain in contents of shaker.
- Top with sparkling water and prosecco and stir.
- Garnish with an orange wheel, lemon wedge and fresh thyme.
