Polished-casual dining chain Firebirds Wood Fired Grill has been acquired by New York-based investment firm Garnett Station Partners. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The investment will enable Charlotte, NC-based Firebirds to accelerate its growth and development. Founded in 2000, the chain now operates 56 locations across 20 states. The restaurants feature a signature wood-burning grill and award-winning Firebar.
The restaurant group has changed hands a few times in recent years. Private-equity firm Angelo Gordon acquired it in 2011 and private-equity firm J.H. Whitney Capital Partners bought Firebirds in 2018.
