Walsh Whiskey has unveiled the 2023 version of The Irishman Vintage Cask Vintage Cask.
This year’s vintage is limited to 8,400 bottles worldwide, including the U.S., Canada, Ireland, France, the UK, South Africa and Asia.
The 2023 bottle is the 15th annual release of The Irishman since 2008.
The Irishman 2023 Vintage Cask is a blend of triple distilled aged single malt and aged single pot still whiskey. The casks used for this annual release are selected by The Irishman’s Founder, Bernard Walsh.
The 2023 vintage is non-chill-filtered and bottled at 55.3% ABV. On the nose is orchard fruits, vanilla and nuttiness, the company reports. The palate contains peach, apple blossom, fig and honey, before a finish of oak spices and toasted almonds.
The recommended retail price is $155 per 750-ml. bottle.
