Elijah Craig Barrel Proof A123 Heads to Shelves

01/17/2023

Elijah Craig Barrel Proof A123 bourbon

Following the recent release of Larceny Barrel Proof A123, fellow Heaven Hill brand Elijah Craig has revealed its own Barrel Proof A123 to begin the 2023 program.

All releases in this series follow a standard naming system. The “A” in the name stands for the first batch in an annual A, B, C line. The “1” denotes the release month, January, while the 23 represents the current year.

Elijah Craig Barrel Proof A123 marks the beginning of the eleventh year for the brand’s popular cask-strength line. This first release in 2023 is 125.6 proof.

A123 is 12-year-old bourbon, non-chill-filtered and uncut. It follows Heaven Hill’s traditional bourbon mash bill of 78% corn, 12% malted barley and 10% rye.

A123 is now available nationwide for a suggested retail price of $69.99 per 750-ml. bottle.

Future releases in the 2023 Elijah Craig Barrel Proof line are expected for May and September.
