This white rum cocktail uses a spiced syrup and grapefruit, plus a zesty hit of ginger beer.
Winter Star
Ingredients
- 8 oz. Kōloa Kaua’i white rum
- 4 oz. Giffard Pamplemousse liqueur
- 2 ½ oz. Star anise syrup*
- 8 oz. Fever Tree ginger beer
- Slices of Pink grapefruit
Instructions
- (Makes 4 servings)
- Combine ingredients in a pitcher.
- Squeeze grapefruit slices into pitcher.
- Serve over ice and stir.
- Garnish with pink grapefruit and rosemary tip in each glass.
Notes
*For Star anise syrup: In a small pot, dry heat 5 star anise until warm and aromatic. Add 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Store in airtight container.
