Takito Brands is helping guests celebrate Festivus, the secular parody holiday popularized by Seinfeld. The Chicago restaurant group had added a new element to the typical traditions such as the Festivus pole, the Airing of Grievances and the Feats of Strength: the Drinking of Margaritas.
Bar Takito, Takito Street and Takito Kitchen, Latin-inspired eateries known for their elevated tacos and Margaritas, have unveiled a “Festivus for The Rest of Us” Margarita flight. The three ’Ritas included in the flight are a Coconut Margarita with Electric Blue Sugar Rim, which is blue and white in honor of Hanukkah; a Strawberry Margarita with lava salt and cucumber puree—red, black and green for Kwanzaa; and a Cucumber Margarita, with spicy salt–red and green for Christmas.
The Festivus flight, served with a sparkler, is priced at $29. While Festivus officially falls on Dec. 23, the flight will be available at Bar Takito, Takito Street and Takito Kitchen through the end of December.
