The Fourth of July weekend would typically be time of parties, picnics, fireworks and celebration, but 2020 is no typical year. Though the coronavirus pandemic has muted the festivities in many markets, consumers can still socially distance with a cocktail or two in honor of our independence. Here are four fairly simple recipes for the 4th.
Blueberry + Cranberry Collins
2 oz. Vegas Baby vodka
6 Muddled blueberries
½ oz. Lemon juice
¼ oz. Simple syrup
Splash of Cranberry juice
Splash of Club soda
Combine all ingredients into a Collins glass and stir. Finish with club soda.

Pour all ingredients into a punch bowl filled with ice blocks. Stir. Garnish the bowl with lemon wheels and raspberries.

1 ½ oz. Recuerdo Joven Mezcal
1 oz. Blue Curaçao
½ oz. Lime juice
1 oz. Mint syrup
5 Fresh raspberries
Muddle a couple of raspberries with the mezcal, lime juice and syrup, serve in a Old Fashioned glass with ice, add the Curaçao, fill with tonic water and top with 3 fresh raspberries to garnish.

2 oz. Bertie’s Bear Gulch whiskey
¾ oz. Fresh lemon
¾ oz. Thyme syrup
4 drops Fee Brothers orange bitters
2 Strawberries, sliced
Muddle strawberries with the whiskey, lemon juice and syrup. Serve in an Old Fashioned glass with ice, garnish with strawberry and thyme sprig.
