Budweiser Launches First-Ever Nitro Beer

03/03/2020

by: Melissa Dowling

The newest brew from Budweiser is a golden lager infused with nitrogen gas.

Budweiser Nitro Gold is a first-of-its-kind for the company. Starting today it is available nationally in six- and twelve-packs of 12-oz. cans.

Budweiser Nitro Gold is 5% ABV, with notes of toasted caramel, the company says, plus small and dense bubbles for a lush mouthfeel.

“We’re very excited about the introduction of Budweiser Nitro Reserve because it meets the growing demand for premium products and the rise in popularity of nitro infused beverages,” says Ricardo Marques, VP of marketing core and value brands at Anheuser-Busch. “With its unique serving ritual, Budweiser Nitro Gold produces a beautiful cascade visual and delivers a silky-smooth taste due to smaller, denser bubbles.”

Budweiser Nitro drinkers are encouraged to flip the 12-oz. can three times to infuse the nitrogen gas bubbles throughout, then pour straight down the middle of a glass. Unlike other nitrogen gas infused beers, Budweiser Nitro Gold does not require a ‘widget’ to energize the Nitro bubbles within. With Budweiser Nitro Gold, it’s all in the shake.
