Recuerdo Mezcal will introduce their flagship mezcals, with and without Gusano, to the U.S. retail market, having developed the brand already in duty-free airport stores.
Recuerdo Mezcal, known for its smoky flavor characteristic of traditional Oaxacan Mezcals, has also announced its partnership with MMA and UFC fighter Jorge Masvidal. Masvidal has invested in the brand as a partner.
Recuerdo Mezcal is available with Gusano for those who prefer the texture the agave-worm gives the liquid, as well as without the agave-worm.
“We’re excited to offer US consumers the opportunity for a true taste of Oaxaca,” says Saul Moise, U.S. commercial director of Recuerdo Mezcal. “And to partner with a Recuerdo Mezcal enthusiast such as Jorge Masvidal is the agave-worm at the bottom of the bottle (cherries are for Manhattans and sundaes!) – each ‘besito’, whether with the agave-worm or without, brings a unique flavor to the table.”
Recuerdo Mezcal will be initially available in Texas, California and Florida — imported by González Byass USA — with plans to roll out nationwide in the coming months. The suggested retail price is $34.99 per 750-ml. bottle for the Joven, and $37.99 for the Gusano.
