8 oz. Rye
6 oz. Dark rum
3 oz. Orange juice
2 oz. Lemon juice
8 oz. Cinnamon pear syrup*
2 12-oz. Cans of your favorite English Pale Ale
Combine all ingredients except the beer in a large punch bowl, and stir well. Top with beer, add several large ice cubes and garnish with orange and lemon wheels.

*For Cinnamon pear syrup:
1 cup Demerara sugar
1 ½ cups water
1 pear, thinly sliced
2 cinnamon sticks
Clove
Star anise
Combine water and sugar and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce to a simmer, add the pear slices and let simmer for 45 minutes. Remove from heat, add cinnamon sticks, some clove, and a couple pieces of star anise and allow to steep for an hour. Strain and allow to cool.
