Carnival Cruise Line recently made an adjustment to the price cap on its popular Cheers! all-inclusive beverage package, according to the CruiseRadio.net industry blog. The offer previously included “all spirits, including cocktails, cognacs, whiskies and other spirits, as well as beer, wine and champagne by the glass, with a $50 USD or lower menu price per serving.”
But the blog notes that the program’s official information page now specifies “with a $20 USD or lower menu price per serving.” On drinks priced at more than $20 per serving, the program offers a 25% discount, which is also available on the menu price with wines and Champagnes by the bottle. Cheers! program participants also receive a 25% discount on Carnival’s beverage seminars or classes.
Carnival had introduced the $50-and-lower price cap in 2016; before that the beverage package had covered only drinks priced up to $10. Customers can pre-purchase the Cheers! package for $51.95 per person, per day plus 15% gratuity, or on board the ship for $56.95 USD per person, per day plus 15% gratuity.
Most of the alcoholic beverages offered and consumed on the cruises are priced at less than $20, CruiseRadio.net adds, so many guests might not even notice the change to the program.
