St. Croix-based Cruzan Rum has unveiled new packaging for its Cruzan Single Barrel Rum.

The expression now features a redesigned bottle which showcases an embossed glass logo reminiscent of the Nelthropp family’s crest and a premium wood and cork enclosure.

Inside is the same premium rum: mellow and full-bodied, the company says, with aromas of dried fruit, wood and light, sweet bakery notes. On the palate is a blend of caramel sweetness and oak, with a warm buttery finish.

Cruzan Single Barrel Rum remains 80 proof. It is best enjoyed sipped neat or on the rocks, or as a base for cocktails. The suggested retail price is $29.99 per 750-ml. bottle.

The bottle redesign also extends to Cruzan’s full Distiller’s Collection lineup, which includes Cruzan Estate Diamond Dark Rum, Cruzan Estate Diamond Light Rum, and Cruzan Black Strap Rum.
