Most Imaginative Bartender is in its 12th year. The 2017 winner was Annie Pierce of of Curio in Columbus, Canada, while Boston’s Schuyler Hunton took the title in 2016.

Most Imaginative Bartender regional semifinalists will be announced this April. Submissions will be narrowed down to 80 top bartenders from across the country, who will compete for a chance to represent their hometown as one of just 16 mixologists from across the continent. Regional finals competitions will take place throughout the months of May-June.

For the third year in a row, the 16 regional finalists will travel in September to London – the home of Bombay Sapphire and its Laverstoke Distillery – to vie for the 2018 North American title. This year’s national winner will be named GQ Magazine’s official “Bartender in Residence,” collaborating on a series of cocktail videos.

Last year’s MIB regional finalists at Bombay Sapphire’s Laverstoke Distillery in London during the finale.
