Santa Margherita Sparkling Wines

10/11/2017

by: Kyle Swartz

National Italian wine importer Santa Margherita USA has relaunched two of its sparkling wines.

Prosecco Superiore Valdobbiandene DOCG and Sparkling Rosé have reentered the marketplace with a redesigned bottle, label and brand identity.

The impetus behind the label and bottle relaunch was the winery’s desire to highlight both the company’s history as a longtime Italian sparkling wine producer, the company says, and also give these wines a contemporary style, more recognizable to today’s Santa Margherita consumer.

A proprietary bottle, from a hand-crafted mold, was produced at the company’s glassworks factory in Portogruaro. The front label’s seal is imagined after the mosaic tiles found throughout Venice and Italy, a nod to the company’s origin and wine’s provenance, while the family crest, embossed on a cigar-band style label, wraps around the neck of the bottle, in homage to the Marzotto family’s history in the textile and fashion industries.

Santa Margherita’s Prosecco Superiore Brut, 100% Glera, is available for a suggested retail price of $30 per 750-ml. bottle. Santa Margherita Sparkling Rosé, predominantly Glera with a small addition of Malbec for color and body, has a suggested retail price of $32 per bottle.

The launch of the redesigned Prosecco Superiore and Sparkling Rosé bottles and branding will be supported by a full print and digital campaign throughout 2017.
