Global Spirits USA has signed Baystate Wine & Spirits as its distributor of record to distribute LEAF Organic and Khortytsa vodkas, plus Odessa V.S.O.P. Brandy, in New Hampshire.
Earlier this year, the two companies entered into distribution agreements in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. “Baystate in Mass/Rhode Island did a fantastic job rolling out our brands,” says Dan Freier, national sales director north, Global Spirits. “They blew away initial projections, and we expect they will do a similar job for us in New Hampshire.”
Baystate Wine & Spirits represents wineries and distilleries from all over the world. “Since our initial introduction of the brands in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, we’ve seen their potential and a very positive response from our customers,” says Ed Gillooly, president of Baystate.
Currently, there are four items within the Khortytsa line imported into the U.S.: Khortytsa Platinum, retailing for $9.99 per 750-ml; Khortytsa Ice, with a bottle color that changes when chilled, retailing for $9.99 per 750-ml; Khortytsa Honey Pepper, also $9.99 per 750-ml; and Khortytsa De Luxe, for $23.99 per 750-ml bottle.
Odessa V.S.O.P. brandy is produced at Shustov Distillery from spirits distilled from white grape varietals including rkatsiteli, aligoté and pinot varieties. The rkatsiteli is a pale-skinned grape variety from the Republic of Georgia. Aligoté is a white grape used to make dry white wines in the Burgundy region of France, but is also cultivated in many Eastern Europe countries.
Odessa V.S.O.P. Brandy is available in 750-ml and 100-ml sizes, for a suggested retail price of $10.99 or $1.99, respectively.
