Wine and spirits importer Palm Bay International this week introduced two new products to its growing spirits portfolio: Tequila Bribón and Råvo Vodka.
Tequila Bribón is distilled using 7-10-year-old 100% Blue Agave grown in the volcanic soils of Jalisco surrounding the town of Tequila. A double distillation to 40% abv combines stainless steel pot-still distillation with column distillation, resulting in a tequila with aromas of lime, savory agave, jalapeno, white pepper, a touch of minerality and a hint of sweetness, the company reports.
The suggested retail price is $19.99 per 750-ml. bottle.
Named for the legendary Mexican figure depicted on the label, Tequila Bribón pays homage to the spirit of the Bribón: a person who “sets his or her own rules, never accepts negativity and, above all, always embraces life.”
Råvo Vodka is a 100%-natural, certified gluten-free vodka made in the Swedish fashion, from winter wheat, continuously distilled five times and blended with natural spring water. The palate has a subtle-but-balanced sweetness, the company reports.
The name Råvo is a combination of the Swedish words “raw” and “vodka.
Råvo will be available in the tri-state area this month with plans for a subsequent nationwide roll-out, for a suggested retail price of $19.99 per 750-ml. bottle.
