Our latest Cocktail of the Week was created by Nader Chabaane, director of mixology at Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth in Montreal.

Jam le Sam

1 ½ oz. Vodka
1 oz. Fresh lime juice
½ oz. Maple syrup
¾ oz. Cranberry and pink-pepper marmalade*

Shake all ingredients during 15 to 20 seconds. Strain into an Old Fashioned glass. Fill the glass with crushed ice. Garnish with an ice scoop with berries.

*For the Cranberry and pink-pepper marmalade jam:
Muddle 6 cloves and ¼ cup pink pepper. Add to a large stockpot with 3 cups cranberries, 1 cup sugar and 150 ml. water
Bring to boil, simmer for 15 minutes and blend for 30 seconds.
