Maker’s Mark is on the road again for its 2nd annual charitable mobile holiday tour. The bourbon brand’s #ShareDelicious bake sale truck is visiting six U.S. cities to offer visitors spiced cider and baked goods (including a locally themed treat) in exchange for a suggested donation to Share Our Strength, a non-profit organization that fights hunger and poverty in the U.S.
The truck treats come from Butter & Scotch, a bar/bakery hybrid in Brooklyn, NY. Offerings include cheddar-chive biscuits and Maker’s Mark Hot Toddy Caramel Corn. Regional specialties will include Cincinnati Doodle (a riff on the traditional snickerdoodle cookie, rolled and infused in Cincy’s famed chili spices), and Philadelphia Cream Cheese Cloud Cookie (airy chocolate cookies with the city’s namesake cream cheese folded into the batter for a fluffy texture).
The tour kicked off on Nov. 27 in Kentucky and will be traveling through Dec. 20, making stops in Cincinnati, Columbus, Philadelphia, New York and Chicago. Maker’s Mark is also hosting a series of holiday dinners to benefit Share Our Strength, with three Maker’s-inspired courses plus craft cocktails. Dinner venues include Acorn in Denver; Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse in Indianapolis; the Wild Thyme in Lexington, KY; as well as the landmarked Maker’s Mark Distillery in Loretto, KY.
