Pernod Ricard Reports 4% Q1 Growth, Fueled By Jameson

10/20/2016

by: Kyle Swartz

The global spirits company Pernod Ricard saw 4% in organic growth in sales in Q1, the company reported today, for $2.248 million in total sales.

This uptick was driven in part by strong showings for Jameson in America. Jameson continued double-digit growth, the company reported, with a price increase in September.

Pernod Ricard reported a 5% sales growth in America during Q1, despite a “modest decline of Absolut.” Helping offset that decline was “continued momentum on Malibu with ‘Because Summer’ campaign, and “innovation with launch of Martell Blue Swift and Chivas Ultis”

“We will continue to implement our long-term growth strategy, focusing investments behind our priority brands, markets and innovations and remaining disciplined on pricing and costs,” says Alexandre Ricard, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Pernod Ricard.
