Tullamore D.E.W. 14YO, 18YO Single Malts

09/23/2016

by: Kyle Swartz

The Irish whiskey brand Tullamore D.E.W. has announced the launch of its new single malt range, comprised of Tullamore D.E.W. 14 Year Old Single Malt and Tullamore D.E.W. 18 Year Old Single Malt.

Both Tullamore D.E.W. single malts are characterized by their four-cask recipe, the company says in a press release, which sees the whiskey finished in Bourbon, Oloroso Sherry, Port and Madeira casks. A triple distillation adds smoothness to the malts.

Both expressions have a sweet finish and notes of ripe apples, sweet citrus and hints of tropical fruit, the company reports, all enveloped in vanilla oak.

These whiskeys will be introduced as limited releases into the U.S. beginning this month. Tullamore D.E.W. 14 Year Old Single Malt retails for $69.99 per 750-ml. bottle while Tullamore D.E.W. 18 Year Old Single Malt retails for $109.99 per 750-ml. bottle.

“There is a growing appetite for single malts in the U.S. market, and we’re looking forward to showing consumers how much Ireland and Tullamore D.E.W. has to offer in this category,” says Paige Parness, U.S. Senior Brand Manager for Tullamore D.E.W.
