Microbreweries nationwide continue to expand their operations beyond beer.
Midland Brewing Company (MBC) of Midland, MI, has partnered with the Rochester-based Kosch Dining Solutions to launch a new restaurant, beer garden and outdoor event space in Midland. Opening in early 2017, it will be part of MBC’s brewery location, where extensive remodeling has already begun.
MBC has operated a micro-brewery since 2010 and this year is making a major investment in upgrading and expanding into full food service, the company says in a press release. With a new kitchen, remodeled seating indoors, and a new outdoor beer garden connected to the Pere Marquette Rail Trail, the venue will “be ideal for casual dining, meetings, corporate parties and special events.”
“This project is a perfect fit for both parties,” says Gordie Kosch, President & CEO of Kosch Dining Solutions. “The city is crying out for a great place for friends to meet for a delicious meal and some great beers, and Midland Brewing Company has a wonderful vision to provide just that. We’re thrilled to be able to add our expertise from the planning stages through to the grand opening and beyond.”
Midland Brewing Company was founded in 2010. Reopening in early 2016, after a brief hiatus, their beer can be found in retail, bar and restaurant locations throughout the state.
