Serrallés Forms New Distribution Networks, Appoints Divisional Managers

02/17/2016

by: Kyle Swartz

Serrallés USA has formed new long-term agreements with five family-owned distributor partners.

Effective March 1, 2016, Serrallés USA will expand its current distribution relationship with RNDC and the Breakthru Beverage Group. Serrallés will now be marketed throughout their respective networks.

Additionally, Serrallés USA is forging a new distribution relationship with Young’s Market, who will distribute the alcohol company’s portfolio. Serrallés USA will also expand its distribution relationship with Johnson Brothers and continue its long-term relationship with MS Walker.

“The changing market conditions has prompted us to realign our distribution network in a way that provides the strongest platform for the continued growth of our Don Q rum brand,” says Roberto Serrallés, President of Serrallés USA, in a press release.

As part of this realignment, Serrallés USA has promoted three regional managers to Division Managers to manage its core regions throughout America.

John Meisler will serve as Division Manager of the Midwest Region as well as his current role as Corporate Director of Sales Training. Meisler has 25-plus years of sales and brand training expertise, the company says. Before joining Serrallés USA in 2009, he served in management positions at Beam Global, as well as sales training and ambassador roles.

Serrallés USA also promoted John Gomatos to Division Manager of the East Region. Gomatos has more than two decades of sales experience, the company says, having previously held senior sales positions at the Brown Forman Company and McKesson/Carlton Importing Company.

Finally, David Duran will now serve as Division Manager of the West Region. He previously served as Western Regional Sales Manager at Kindred Spirits.

“We are thrilled to have aligned our portfolio with leading distributor partners who share similar visions and priorities,” said John Eason, COO & Executive Vice President at Serrallés USA, in a press release.
